WATER SUPPLY FOR RANCHO MURIETA COUNTRY CLUB IRRIGATION

The Reclamation Plant has been running continuously, keeping up with the demands of Rancho Murieta Country Club (RMCC) irrigation on their North and South courses. The District met with RMCC back in March of this year to lay out a plan for their reclamation water use throughout this irrigation season. At that time, it was apparent that there would be a shortfall of reclaimed water supply to RMCC for golf course irrigation. As a result of that meeting, since April, RMCC began utilizing their river pump to supplement irrigation water. The District's wastewater storage reservoirs were drawn down due to the following: high irrigation demand; less sewer flow into the plant; the Regional Board requiring the District to draw down to below 100 acre feet of wastewater storage (which was accomplished in 2007); and this being an excessively dry year.
On August 13, we begun supplementing the RMCC irrigation supply on their South course with raw water from Clementia, which was full to its spillway. By supplementing the RMCC irrigation supply, the District will extend out the amount of available reclaimed water into October of this year, if not further, depending on the weather.
The District has been meeting with RMCC continuously throughout the season to discuss the water supply for their irrigation. The conservation steps that RMCC has taken are to make sure they have adequate water throughout this irrigation season, assuming a worst case scenario, which we are currently in since there has not been over 0.2 inches of rain recorded here in any month since February of 2008. The District does not mandate how the RMCC should irrigation, however, the District does its best to work with them to meet their irrigation needs.

EMERGENCY NOTIFICATION SYSTEM – CodeRED

Rancho Murieta Community Services District has instituted the CodeRED Emergency Notification System – a high-speed telephone communication service for emergency notifications. This system allows us to telephone all or targeted areas of Rancho Murieta Community Services District in case of an emergency situation that requires immediate action (such as a boil water notice, law enforcement emergency or evacuation notices). The system is capable of dialing 50,000 phone numbers per hour. It then delivers our recorded message to a live person or an answering machine, making three attempts to connect to any number.
Click here to update your contact information.
THIS SYSTEM WILL ONLY BE USED FOR EMERGENCY PURPOSES.
Examples of times when the CodeRED system could be utilized: drinking water contamination, evacuation notice and route, missing children, fires or floods, law enforcement emergency, chemical spill or gas leak and other emergency incidents where rapid and accurate notification is essential for life safety.
