CONTROLLER: Rancho Murieta Community Services District (District) is seeking a mid-level, hands-on accounting professional to join our team. Duties of the Controller include planning, administering, and performing professional accounting/fiscal functions including responsibility for full general ledger accuracy and posting of financial transactions, cash flow management, month-end and year-end close processes, preparation of bank reconciliations, preparing account and ledger reconciliations and assisting with the annual audit, capital asset management, assist with annual budget development, preparation of financial statements, and public agency debt transactions.
IDEAL CANDIDATE: Experienced, service-oriented, personable, innovative, hands-on team player with a diverse background in fund accounting, government finance, budgeting, cash management, GAAP and GASB principles and practices. Experience with Great Plains Dynamics, Microsoft Access, Microsoft Office Suite, and utility billing are all highly desirable traits.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Public Administration, or related field and three years of increasingly responsible public agency or not-for-profit experience performing professional level accounting, financial reporting, and budget preparation.
