Lund Construction has encountered a number of rock outcroppings that cannot be removed with the Cat D10 dozers.

Currently there are six locations around the site that will require subterranean blasting in order to finish the site grading improvements.

We are coordinating with Lund Construction and subcontracting with Neil’s Controlled Blasting to break up the rock locations.

The pre-drilling for the blasting has already started, and cannot be heard over the regular grading equipment noise.

The blasts will likely be heard, and possibly felt, by some residents adjacent to the perimeter of Riverview.

Neil’s may have an initial blast on Friday, October 15, and will likely implement 1 to 2 blasts per week for the next 2 to 3 weeks until the rock outcroppings are mitigated.
