PLANT OPERATOR I, II, OR III : Rancho Murieta Community Services District is now accepting applications for one (1) Full Time Water/Wastewater Plant Operator position within the Operator I-III classification which requires Water and/or Wastewater certification, both preferred. Salary: $3,870- $6,175/DOQ. A certification bonus is available for additional certifications above required job classification up to 5%. Benefits include CalPERS retirement of 2.0% at 55 for classic members, 2.0% at 62 for new members, and medical, dental, and vision benefits.
As a medium sized community, duties are typically split up among Operations staff members to cover water, wastewater, and seasonal reclamation operations. Duties include the ability to: operate, maintain, and control the District's water and wastewater treatment and pumping facilities; regulate influent, and effluent flows within the system; do basic laboratory testing and sample collection; check operations and monitor equipment for proper functioning; perform regular maintenance of District water and wastewater treatment and pumping facilities, machinery, equipment, structures, and grounds; and to perform other related duties as required.
Minimum Requirements: Possession and maintenance of a Grade 1 Water Treatment Operator's Certificate required by the California State Water Resource Control Board upon entering this position is required. Possession and maintenance of a Grade 1 Wastewater Plant Operator's Certificate issued by the California State Water Resources Control Board within 24 months of entering this position is required. Having a CA grade 1 in either Water or Wastewater may qualify an applicant for an interview.
