In January the District determined that the correct tax rate for Security has not been updated at the beginning of FY 2021-22. To correct the charge, the District assessed an amount to bring the amount current. The residents in the North and South were charged an additional $4.32 for the months of July through December. The Murieta Village and the Gardens II were charged an additional amount of $1.32. Adding a one-time adjustment to offset the incorrect charge should have reflected on the bill, unfortunately, the March bill missed a key line item in the description of the charges in utility bills. This reflects in what appears as an incorrect calculation. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
